2023 Fantasy Outlook
Rousseau had a strong second NFL season last year, doubling his sacks from his rookie campaign despite playing four fewer games. The 30th overall pick in 2021 puts the bull in bull rush with his 6-6, 266-pound frame, but his athleticism and football IQ make him more than just a one-dimensional threat, and he's benefited greatly from Von Miller's mentorship. Buffalo added Leonard Floyd in the offseason and could get more than 11 games out of Miller in 2023, but if Rousseau continues his development, he figures to lead the charge for one of the NFL's most talented pass rushes. RANKS
Ready for next step?
Rousseau completed the 2023 regular season with 42 tackles (including 5.0 sacks), four passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
ANALYSIS
Rousseau saw a career-high snaps on defense (558), so perhaps it's a bit disappointing that he fell eight tackles short of his rookie season and 3.0 sacks short of the career-high 8.0 he posted in 2022. With the playoff perennial Bills facing so much turnover on both sides of the ball, the 2021 first-rounder may be expected to hit another gear if the team is to take a fifth straight AFC East title. A.J. Epenesa has already proven capable of helping Rousseau with the pass rush on the other side of the line, but everyone could gain if Von Miller, who's missed significant time the past two seasons, can consistently spark the pass rush.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to have option picked up
General manager Brandon Beane recently said he anticipates that the Bills will pick up Rousseau's fifth-year option, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Beane noted that no official decision was made, and the Bills have until May 2 to exercise Rousseau's option. Rousseau has served in a rotational role along the team's defensive line, notching 17.0 career sacks across 46 games. If his option is ultimately exercised, he'll be in line to earn $13.4 million in 2025.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Rousseau mostly remains unproven as a second-year, 22-year-old defensive end still growing
into his massive 6-foot-6 frame, so this entry requires some projection. With that said,
Rousseau’s prospect profile is full of reasons for optimism. The first-round pick immediately
earned a starting role with Buffalo even as a 21-year-old rookie, and his production (50 tackles
and four sacks on 504 snaps) was encouraging.
