2023 Fantasy Outlook
A knee injury cost Campbell four games in 2022, but his production was otherwise right on target, and he was on pace for 137 tackles if he'd played the same number of snaps as the year before. He's been an excellent fit for coordinator Joe Barry's 3-4 scheme since the duo arrived in Green Bay in 2021, and Campbell's been free to focus on chasing after ball carriers. Last year's injury was the first time the 29-year-old has missed significant time since he was a Falcons rookie in 2016, but given his age and mileage, he could have further trouble staying on the field. RANKS
Signing with San Francisco
The 49ers signed Campbell to a one-year deal Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The eight-year veteran is signing with the 49ers after spending the last three seasons of his career in Green Bay. Campbell struggled with injuries last year, appearing in just 11 games, but he still recorded 75 total tackles and defended one pass. The 30-year-old could very well have the opportunity to compete for a starting job in the 49ers' linebacker corps this offseason, especially with Dre Greenlaw recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in the Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Packers hoping to retain
Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst said Wednesday that the team is "very optimistic and hopeful to get him back in the fold," when asked about keeping Campbell with the team, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell is coming off a breakout campaign in his inaugural season with Green Bay, tallying a team-high 146 tackles en route to First-Team All-Pro honors. Gutekunst also mentioned that the Packers previously attempted to bring Campbell to Green Bay during the 2020 offseason before signing him to a one-year contract in 2021. The Packers, who are currently about $28 million over the cap, will almost definitely face serious competition in re-signing Campbell, however, as the free agent is likely to garner significant interest from linebacker-needy teams around the NFL this offseason.

Campbell went from a nondescript starter in Arizona and Atlanta to a breakout star in his first
season in Green Bay, leading the Packers to re-sign him to a five-year, $50 million deal in the
offseason. His first year with the Packers yielded 146 tackles, making him one of the top IDPs of
2021, and now we wait to see if he can repeat. The Packers have no one to replace him, so
they’re riding with Campbell either way.
