Heat Face Bulls In Windy City Battle
The Miami Heat takes on the Chicago Bulls at United Center on Friday evening.

The Heat (6-11) is struggling through its roughest season in quite some time, and they'll come into Friday's game having dropped three straight games, and six of their last seven overall. Miami's most recent stumble came at home against the Brooklyn Nets, which toppled them by a 104-92 score on Tuesday night. Hassan Whiteside led the way for the Heat with a 21-point, 23-rebound double-double. Josh Richardson contributed 16 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals. Rodney McGruder mustered 15 points, five boards and four assists. Justise Winslow totaled 10 points, two rebounds and one assist off the bench. Wayne Ellington contributed nine points.

The Heat are expected to be without both Goran Dragic (knee) and Tyler Johnson (hamstring) in their backcourt on Friday. Dion Waiters (ankle) will also be out, while Whiteside (knee) and McGruder (undisclosed) will be listed as questionable.

The Bulls (5-13) have encountered plenty of struggles in their own right, and they'll come into Friday's game having dropped four of their last five games. However, their one success during that stretch came during their most recent time on the court, as they defeated the Phoenix Suns by a 124-116 score on Wednesday night. Zach LaVine led the way with 29 points and added six assists. Jabari Parker followed with 20 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Ryan Arcidiacono, Wendell Carter, Jr. and Antonio Blakeney all generated 14-point efforts. Justin Holiday posted 11 points, four rebounds and one assist.

The Bulls will continue to be without the quartet of Kris Dunn (knee), Lauri Markkanen (elbow), Denzel Valentine (ankle) and Bobby Portis (knee) on Friday. Chandler Hutchinson (back) will be a game-time decision.

The Heat won three of the four games between the teams during the 2017-18 campaign.
