Inactive for season finale
WRJacksonville Jaguars
December 31, 2018
Greene was inactive for Sunday's loss to the Texans and caught six of eight targets for 60 yards in 2018.
ANALYSIS
Greene saw a minor offensive role over the previous five games with D.J Chark (quad) sidelined, but the latter's return Sunday made him a healthy scratch. The 26-year-old played eight games with the Jaguars, and unlike his previous stints with the team, he was barely utilized as a punt returner. Greene enters 2019 as a free agent and is likely to serve as a depth receiver and possible return man with his new team, assuming he is able to crack the 53-man roster.

Greene missed all of the 2017 season with an undisclosed injury but impressed during OTAs and minicamp. The 25-year-old will likely be heavily involved on special teams if he is to crack the 53-man roster.
After a breakout year on special teams in 2015, Greene battled a nagging Achilles injury last season, which limited his impact both as a punt returner and a slot receiver. The 24-year-old appeared in only eight games and muffed three punts, while catching just five passes for a total of 32 yards. The addition of Dede Westbrook, a similar playmaker and Heisman Trophy finalist, could threaten Greene's spot on the roster, though the Jaguars haven't ruled out keeping both players.
As a rookie, Greene emerged as a special teams threat, in addition to contributing – albeit in limited snaps – as a slot receiver. Marqise Lee figures to be given every opportunity to emerge as Blake Bortles' primary slot target in 2016, but if the former USC star continues to be hampered by nagging injuries, Greene could step into an increased role.
The Florida State product racked up more than 2,400 yards over his final two seasons in Tallahassee, but he doesn’t have prototypical size and isn’t overly fast, which caused him to slip to the fifth round. While the Jaguars are stocked with talent at receiver, Greene fits nicely as an option out of the slot, as Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee are each more comfortable on the outside. Greene is unlikely to climb higher than a WR3 spot, but he could also see time as kick and punt returner, challenging Ace Sanders for the duties. While it’s unrealistic to expect much production from Greene as a rookie, as a four-year college player who will turn 23 in September, he enters the league with more polish than many of his fellow wide receiver draftees.
