The 20-year-old guard averaged 15.6 points per game last season, but she shot only 19.7 percent from deep. Leite was a solid distributor but struggled with turnovers, posting a 5.5:4.2 AST:TO ratio. She has a crowded path to playing time, as Arike Ogunbowale, Crystal Dangerfield and Satou Sabally (shoulder) will handle most of the playmaking opportunities. The No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Leite is still only 20 years old, so she may be a draft-and-stash piece for Dallas. She's currently playing for Tabes in France, where she's averaging 15.8 points and 5.5 assists per game. Wings president Greg Bibb said after the draft that he isn't sure whether Leite will join the Wings this year. However, even if she does, she may have some trouble carving out a role as a rookie on a roster filled with proven veterans.
