Stefanos Tsitsipas
22-Year-Old
Keeps London hopes alive
November 17, 2020
Tsitsipas won 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (6) over Andrey Rublev in his second round robin match in London on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
After an opening three-set loss to Dominic Thiem in his first match at the Nitto ATP Finals, Tsitsipas was able to squeak out a speedy three-set affair that spanned 1 hour and 55 minutes to keep his hopes of defending last year's title alive. The 22-year-old from Greece could still reach the semifinals at this year-end event, but he'll need to defeat Rafael Nadal in his next match to advance any further. Tsitsipas has a 1-5 record against Nadal, which includes a three-set loss at the 2019 London finals.
