Antigulov lost to Maxim Grishin via TKO (punches) at 4:58 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
Antigulov has been a bull in a China shop thus far in his UFC career but actually came out a bit more measured for this one, looking for the clinch and chopping away with leg strikes. It was all for naught, as he was unable to ground Grishin for any length of time, which allowed him to separate and find space. Ultimately, it seems like Antigulov's plan was to try to let Grishin punch himself out, but he ended Round 2 shelling up while his opponent peppered him with shots, leaving the referee no choice but to call the fight. While he does have an effective high-paced grappling game, Antigulov never made it work in the UFC, and will likely find his walking papers, as he drops to 0-4 in the organization,

Antigulov lost to Paul Craig via submission (Triangle Choke) at 2:06 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
It's obviously easier said than done, but this was a poor job by Antigulov to get caught in this situation. Going up against an opponent who offers next to nothing in the striking game and is a pure submission specialist, Antigulov still found himself in position to be choked out early in the fight. It's a loss that may very well cost Antigulov his job. The Russian began his UFC run with back-to-back submission victories over Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Joachim Christensen but has since suffered three straight stoppage losses to Craig, Michal Oleksiejczuk and Ion Cutelaba.
Gets Craig on Fight Island

Antigulov will take on Paul Craig in a light heavyweight matchup July 25 on Fight Island.
Antigulov had been booked for a matchup against Klidson Abreu prior to the pandemic, but that turned out to be one of a laundry list of fights that was forced to be canceled or rescheduled. Instead, Antigulov will look to recover from back-to-back losses against a fighter in Craig that sports a 4-4-1 UFC record. Neither man has impressed from a striking volume standpoint, but Antigulov does have five takedowns in four fights, so that may be a strategy he pursues against Craig's sub-par, 57 percent takedown defense. Antigulov will also be giving up four inches in height and six inches in reach.
