Angela Hill

Gets new opponent
August 13, 2019
Hill is set to face off against Adriane Carnelossi at UFC Mexico City, Damon Martin of reports.
Hill was originally set to fight Istela Nunes until a failed drug test put a halt on the bout. Now she will match up against Carnelossi, who will be making her UFC debut. Hill is just 1-3 in her last four bouts, and this time out, will looking to bounce back from a loss to Xiaonan Yan. While Hill should enter as a favorite against a debuting fighter, it's worth noting that nine of her last 10 fights have gone to the judges, which limits her fantasy ceiling.

New opponent on tap
August 12, 2019
Hill will require a new opponent after Istela Nunes was removed from the card for a failed drug test, Guilherme Cruz of reports.
Hill is still aiming to take the octagon for the fourth time this year, but it remains to be seen who will be her next challenger. Given that the fight is more than a month off, there's little reason to believe another fighter won't step up.
Facing Istela Nunes in Mexico City
July 29, 2019
Hill (9-7-0) is scheduled to face Istela Nunes (7-1-0, 1 NC) in a strawweight fight Sept. 21 at UFC Mexico City, Guilherme Cruz and Damon Martin of report.
Hill will be entering the Octagon for a fourth time in 2019 and will look to rebound from a poor showing her last time out in Chicago back in June, when she lost via unanimous decision to Xiaonan Yan. The 31-year-old will face off against a UFC newcomer in Nunes, who will be making her promotional debut after previously going 2-1 under the ONE Championship banner.
Lets golden opportunity slip away
June 8, 2019
Hill lost to Xiaonan Yan via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 238 on Saturday in Chicago.
Hill had a golden opportunity to win this fight. At the end of the first round, she had a fully locked on triangle choke from the bottom. It looked like the end was very near. However, Yan made the final bell and survived to continue fighting. From there, Yan kept coming forward and landing with volume. Hill landed the hard shots, but she was not able to slow down her opponent.
Booked for UFC 238
May 1, 2019
Hill will step in and fight Xiaonan Yan at UFC 238 in Chicago, Marc Raimondi of ESPN reports.
It was announced Tuesday that Felice Herrig had torn her ACL and was forced to withdraw from her fight against Yan, so Hill will step in as the replacement. This is the second straight fight for Hill as a replacement, as she is fresh off a victory over Jodie Esquibel via unanimous decision at UFC Lauderdale this past weekend. This will, remarkable, be Hill's third fight in 11 weeks.
Cashes in an heavy favorite
April 27, 2019
Hill defeated Jodie Esquibel via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fort Lauderdale on Saturday.
While Hill faced some adversity in the second round when she was bloodied up a bit by an Esquibel combination, the statistics show a dominant effort in favor of Hill. She outlanded Esquibel 117 to 57 in terms of significant strikes, unofficially, holding a double-digit edge in each of the rounds. Hill landed at a 49 percent accuracy rate to end a two-fight losing streak. This was a fight Hill was supposed to win as a betting favorite of (-600) or greater, so it doesn't do a ton for her stock moving forward.
