Holland continues to rehab a right shoulder injury, which he estimates is at about 25 percent, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holland's shoulder has been a problem for some time now, including in his June 2019 victory over Alessio Di Chirico. It caused him to reschedule his fight with Daniel Rodriguez scheduled last weekend. Holland indicated he doesn't need his shoulder to get back to 100 percent to fight again and said he expected to be back in action in about six weeks time.

Holland withdrew from his scheduled middleweight fight with Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 172 on Saturday, citing a right shoulder injury, Daniel Rodriguez, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
UFC is currently searching for a replacement for Holland so that Rodriguez can still be involved on the card. Holland suffered the injury during training and would have been just 14 days removed from his last fight had he been able to make it back in the Octagon this weekend. It's unclear how long the shoulder injury will keep Holland out of commission.

The 27-year-old Holland is 17-5 (eight KO/TKO) as a professional and has won four of his last five bouts. Most recently, he was victorious against Anthony Hernandez on May 16 during UFC on ESPN 8, defeating him by way of TKO (knees and punches). The 33-year-old Rodriguez is 11-1 (six KO/TKO) as a pro, having won seven straight bouts. His most recent victory was Feb. 15 against Tim Means at UFC Fight Night 167, using a guillotine choke. Destroys Anthony Hernandez

Holland defeated Anthony Hernandez via TKO (strikes) at 0:39 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
It was a dominant effort from Holland in a fight the Vegas oddsmakers said could go either way. Holland used his three-inch height edge over Hernandez to get in tight and blast his opponent with a shot to the face followed by a perfectly placed knee to the body. Hernandez quickly crumbled and the fight was over just moments later. The 27-year-old Holland has been up and down throughout the early portion of his career, but he offers elite size (6-foot-3) for the middleweight division and is competent in all areas of the sport. We'll see if this strong effort is the start of an extended run for Holland.
