Chikadze needs a new opponent for UFC Norfolk on Feb. 29 with Mike Davis having dropped out due to an undisclosed injury, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chikadze recently won his UFC debut via a split-decision victory over Brandon Davis at UFC Copenhagen in September, but a replacement opponent has yet to be announced for UFC Norfolk. With the event less than three weeks away, it's possible that Chikadze will need to wait to retake the octagon.

Chikadze will take on Mike Davis in a lightweight bout at UFC Norfolk on Feb. 29, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chikadze was successful on short notice in his UFC debut by defeating Brandon Davis via split decision at UFC Copenhagen in September. The 31-year-old demonstrated his striking abilities in the matchup but allowed three takedowns. He'll now take on Mike Davis, who defeated Thomas Gifford via KO (punch) at UFC Tampa in October, a fight in which he displayed his skills as a boxing specialist and dominated the fight. The two fighters are even in height and reach.
Successful UFC debut

Chikadze defeated Brandon Davis via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Copenhagen on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
It was unclear at first whether Chikadze would secure the upset victory, as the fight was initially announced as a split draw but later corrected by UFC officials. It was a close first round that could have gone either way and Chikadze almost certainly lost the third round, but he got the nod in the second from two of the three official scorers. While Chikadze did allow Davis to score three takedowns, the Georgian-born fighter won the final striking battle 59 to 34 while also securing a takedown, a pass and a reversal in the winning effort.

Chikadze has been booked to fight Brandon Davis at UFC Copenhagen on Sept. 28, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Chikadza's last defeat came when he competed in Dana White's Contender Series back in June of 2018, where he lost to Austin Springer via submission. Now, he'll have the opportunity to make his UFC debut as a fill-in after spending most of his career fighting under the Gladiator Challenge banner.
