Past Fantasy Outlooks
An unheralded sixth-round pick in the 2011 draft, Sedlak has beaten the odds to carve out an NHL job for himself, albeit only as a fourth-line grinder. The 25-year-old hasn't shown enough offensively to justify a rise up the depth chart, and as the Blue Jackets' front office demonstrated at the trade deadline last year by bringing back Mark Letestu, the team is looking to upgrade its bottom six, so Sedlak could spend another season bouncing between the lineup and the press box.
Sedlak filled a hole last season on the Jackets as a fourth-line center, but he's unlikely to rise much higher on the depth chart or provide much of a fantasy impact in his sophomore campaign.
Young Czech center Sedlak plays a solid two-way game but hasn't yet been able to make a big impact in the QMJHL, and he could be running out of time to prove he has an NHL future.
