Perth Scorchers are ready to face Melbourne Renegades in the match 43 of the Big Bash League (BBL) in Perth on Monday. The game is an important one for the visitors who will look to strengthen their fourth position on the league table with a win. In the previous meeting between both teams earlier in the competition, it was the Renegades who came out on top with four-wicket margin.
In their previous game, Renegades registered a 12-run win against Sydney Thunder in Sydney. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of captain Aaron Finch, veteran middle-order batsman Cameron White and Tom Cooper to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Daniel Christian, Kane Richardson and Mohammad Nabi to provide timely breakthroughs.
On the other hand, Scorchers will play their next match for pride as they are already out of the competition after suffering seven defeats in 10 outings. In their previous match, Scorchers suffered a six-wicket defeat against Sydney Thunder at the same venue where Monday's match will be played. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of experienced Shaun Marsh, in-form Ashton Turner and wicketkeeper-batsman Cameron Bancroft to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the pace trio of Nathan Coulter-Nile, Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff to provide timely breakthroughs.
