Gwynn was a preferred walk-on recruit in 2018 and spent the majority of this season as the team's third-string quarterback. At the start of the year, Gwynn was leading the reps for the scout team, but after Reid Herring transferred out in the middle of the season, Gwynn was bumped up to the active squad and has served as the third-string option since. The second-year quarterback has never seen the field as so he will look to transfer elsewhere that gives him a better opportunity to actually play.
