Pelicans Host Spurs
The New Orleans Pelicans will host the San Antonio Spurs at Smoothie King Center on Monday.

The Pelicans have been on a home tear where they have not lost since October 27th against the Utah Jazz. The stand out note from that loss was Anthony Davis' absence. Davis' home splits this year have been MVP caliber, as the Pelicans franchise cornerstone has posted 36.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.9 blocks on 51.1 percent shooting. New Orleans (9-7) has won five of their last six games, and is boasting quality play from Jrue Holiday, who is the NBA's second leading player in assists with 9.3 per game, second to only Kyle Lowry. Julius Randle has put together an impressive season so far across 16 games, most of which have seen the former Lakers forward come off the bench. In those games, Randle is scoring 17.3 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game in 25.5 minutes per contest.

The Pelicans will have a tired Spurs team who are playing the second game of a back-to-back after defeating the Golden State Warriors at home on Sunday. LaMarcus Aldridge led the way for the Spurs (8-7) after he scored 24 points and added 18 rebounds in the win. The Warriors were without Stephen Curry (groin) and Draymond Green (toe) in the win, but had their hands full keeping Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant to 51 points on a combined 51 shots. The win ended a three game losing streak for Spurs.
