Suns, Nuggets Looking To Stay Undefeated
The Denver Nuggets play host to the Phoenix Suns, at Pepsi Center on Saturday evening.

Both the Suns and the Nuggets started off their seasons with impressive wins on Wednesday night. The Suns topped the Mavericks by 21 at home, while the Nuggets put together a nine-point win in L.A. against the Clippers. Both teams also made some solid acquisitions through the draft and during the off-season. In the case of the Nuggets, neither Isaiah Thomas (hip), nor Michael Porter Jr. (back) played in the season opener, but are expected to be ready at some point in the season. On the other hand, the Suns lineup featured off-season acquisition, Trevor Ariza, who tallied 21 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal, in 37 minutes as starting small-forward. Ryan Anderson, who was also acquired in the offseason, stared at power forward and finished with two points, seven rebounds and three assists, in 24 minutes. The Suns' top pick, Deandre Ayton, was great in his first NBA game, as he totaled 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block, in 36 minutes at the starting center position.

Both these teams will have to battle for every win they can get, in order to have a chance at a playoff spot in the jam-packed West. It is never too early to start and the Nuggets and Suns must recognize the importance of a matchup like this one early on in the season. This will be the first road game of the season for the Suns, and the first home game for the Nuggets, which could lead to some nerves on both sides, but also sets the stage for a great contest.
