Farmelo was one of three prep position players to receive at least a $2.5 million bonus from the Mariners after being selected in the 22-30 overall range of the 2023 draft. Unlike his new org. mates Colt Emerson and Tai Peete, Farmelo didn't get into a regular-season game after signing due to a concussion, so he doesn't have any official stats, but but he did hit a clutch home run during Single-A Modesto's run to a California League postseason title. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound center fielder is a plus-plus runner who projects to be a quality defender. It's easy to envision him developing 25-homer power, and the big question is how good of a pure hitter he will turn into. Read Past Outlooks
