Jaylin Davis
25-Year-Old OutfielderOF
San Francisco Giants
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Davis began the 2019 campaign in the Minnesota Twins organization, slashing .274/.382/.458 in 58 games for Triple-A Pensacola. He was advanced to Triple-A Rochester, posting a .331/.405/.708 line in 41 games before being dealt to the Giants at the trade deadline. Davis reported to Sacramento where he continued to assault Triple-A pitching with a .333/.419/.686 slash. After bashing a combined 35 homers on the farm, San Francisco called Davis up in September, but he did not impress in just 17 games, registering a .493 OPS. The 25-year old outfielder projects to be a reserve, capable of playing all three spots. Power has been his forte, though he showed 96th percentile spring speed in his short stint in the majors. Davis should have a chance to break camp on the 25-man roster, putting him in play for end-game consideration in NL-only formats. Read Past Outlooks

Could begin season in minors
OFSan Francisco Giants
March 26, 2020
The Giants could option Davis to the minor leagues to begin the season, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis is in competition for a spot in the Giants' outfield, and had an inconsistent performance throughout Cactus League action. On the positive side, he collected five extra-base hits. However, he also struck out in half of his 30 plate appearances. The team has experimented with prospect Mauricio Dubon in center field and also has Billy Hamilton as another option, so Davis may start the season with Triple-A Sacramento until he forces his way onto the big-league roster.
