Weekly Hitter Rankings: Damage in the Desert

This article is part of our Weekly Hitter Rankings series.

There's a lot going on in this week's hitting rankings, so if your team is set up to take advantage of matchups, it's worth the extra time to maximize lineup efficiency.

For starters, the Reds and Cardinals have eight games with Cincinnati slated to face seven right-handed starters, so the lefty swingers are primed for a great week.

On the flip side, the Braves, White Sox and Yankees only have five games on tap, though there's a chance the Yankees and Mets meet on Monday, on off day for both.

Houston has seven home games, always a good thing, though five should be against a southpaw starter, perhaps hurting the lefty bats.

The Diamondbacks offense has been in the doldrums all season but has seven home affairs facing weaker pitching.

The Angels don't run much, however, this week they draw a couple of teams not adept at controlling the speed game.
