Strong effort in season opener
GSeattle Storm
May 26, 2019
Canada finished with 16 points (7-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six assists, three steals, three rebounds and a block in Saturday's win over the Mercury.
ANALYSIS
Canada, who's filling in as lead point guard in Sue Bird's (knee) absence, put forth an admirable effort in the Storm's season-opening win. The second-year pro scored a career-high 16 points while shooting better than 50-percent from the field. The only blemish on her all-around line was the seven turnovers she committed. If she's able to protect the ball better going forward, Canada could be one of 2019's breakout fantasy players.
