Shatori Walker-Kimbrough

27-Year-Old GuardG
 Washington Mystics  WNBA
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Walker-Kimbrough spent a third consecutive season in Washington last year and will remain with the Mystics in the final year of her contract in 2024. While she got off to a slow start in 2023, she ultimately started a career-high 15 games and averaged 6.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 24.8 minutes per game while appearing in every matchup. The 27-year-old was a reliable fantasy contributor when starting but had inconsistent production as a reserve. Natasha Cloud signed with Phoenix this offseason, while Elena Delle Donne announced she'll likely sit out the entire 2024 campaign. The Mystics filled those voids with Karlie Samuelson and Stefanie Dolson, and they still have the sixth overall pick in the upcoming draft. Even with the high-profile losses in free agency, it seems unlikely that Walker-Kimbrough will be a consistent starter this season, so she profiles more as a streaming option in most fantasy leagues. Tallies three blocks
GWashington Mystics
September 20, 2023
Walker-Kimbrough ended Tuesday's 90-85 overtime loss to the Liberty with four points (2-4 FG), two rebounds, three blocks and one steal in 12 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Walker-Kimbrough's offensive impact was limited by a low shot volume, but she racked up a season-high three blocks during Tuesday's overtime matchup. Her role remained relatively steady in 2023, as she averaged 6.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 24.8 minutes per game over 40 appearances (15 starts). She re-signed with the Mystics on a two-year deal during the offseason, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her have a similar role in 2024.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Walker-Kimbrough compiled arguably the best campaign of her career in 2022, racking up 6.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals over 20.1 minutes per game, appearing in a career-high 35 contests. While the Mystics added a scorer in the backcourt in Brittney Sykes to pair with Natasha Cloud, the club also lost a rotation regular in Alysha Clark, which could lessen Walker-Kimbrough's downgrade in minutes. Walker-Kimbrough isn't a highly-valued fantasy asset in general, but she could claim some minutes off the bench again in 2023 and is a potential bench filler in some fantasy formats.
Walker-Kimbrough signed with the Mystics midway through the 2021 season and quickly moved into a starting role, starting 13 of the last 15 contests and averaging 7.4 points and 1.4 rebounds over her 16 appearances. It's unlikely Walker-Kimbrough will begin 2021 with a starting job, but she could settle into a backup role behind Natasha Cloud and Ariel Atkins. The Mystics also acquired Rui Machida this offseason and possess the first overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, potentially leading Walker-Kimbrough to face increased competition for minutes this season.
