Froese, who was cited for endangering an opponent's safety in the Vancouver Whitecaps' 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City last Saturday, has been suspended for his team's matchup at Seattle this weekend and fined an undisclosed amount, The Seattle Times reports.

With the MLS Disciplinary Committee sanctioning Fouse for "serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent" in the 74th minute of Vancouver's loss to Kansas City last weekend, the Whitecaps' midfielder will be forced to sit out his club's matchup at Seattle on Saturday. The absence of the 5-9, 170-pound native of Havana, Cuba, who has tallied a single shot in 111 minutes playing time this season, will likely give way to increased workloads for fellow midfielders Christian Bolanos and Pedro Morales.
