PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

David de Gea, MUN v. EVE ($6,400): De Gea hasn't gotten much action in his recent matches, but it figures to improve against an Everton side that has forced to the fifth-most saves per game this season. The upside may not be huge, but he's the second-cheapest keeper on the slate and has the second-best clean sheet odds.

DEFENDER

Christian Fuchs, LEI v. SUN ($6,300): Fuchs has won multiple tackles in eight consecutive games, adding 19 clearances, nine chances created, nine interceptions, one goal and one assist over that span. He's been given more attacking freedom under new manager Craig Shakespeare, but he's proven to still be able to accumulate defensive stats, which give him a solid fantasy floor.

Jose Holebas, WAT v. WBA ($5,500): Holebas has been successfully filling the stat sheet of late, finishing with at least eight combined interceptions, clearances and tackles in three straight games while also creating six chances over that span. He's still getting a share of free kicks, which provides opportunities to create more chances, and he'll do so against a West Brom side that's been vulnerable from the wings.

Ryan Shawcross, STK at BUR ($5,800): Shawcross has been a steady fantasy producer of late, scoring at least 17.0 fantasy points in each of his last three games. Looking further, those matches came at Manchester City, home against Chelsea and at Leicester City, respectively, but Burnley at Turf Moor actually force more defensive stats, such as clearances and interceptions, than those three sides.

MIDFIELDER

Riyad Mahrez, LEI v. SUN ($8,500): Mahrez has been in flying form, scoring at least 28.5 fantasy points in three consecutive games, including two games with a goal. He'll now face off against a Sunderland defense that has allowed the fifth-most goals this season, though he's been creating chances, winning tackles and getting enough shots on goal to make him valuable even if he doesn't find the back of the net. Teammate Wilfried Ndidi ($7,800) makes for a solid play too, and while he has a goal and an assist in his last two games, he's definitely more a defensive-stat accumulator.

Idrissa Gueye, EVE at MUN ($7,400): Gueye comes in as the Premier League leader in tackles won and will now face a United side that should give him plenty of opportunities. He doesn't get involved in the attack much, but he's steady, scoring over 20 fantasy points in each of his last two without even taking a shot.

Ander Herrera, MUN v. EVE ($7,900): Herrera has a similar defensive profile to Gueye, and while he will be playing for the favored home side, Everton are still plenty capable of attacking enough to keep Herrera busy. He was suspended for last weekend's match, but had scored over 20 fantasy points in six of his previous seven.

FORWARD

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, MUN v. EVE ($11,800): Ibrahimovic is tied with Romelu Lukaku for the Premier League lead in shots on goal despite playing nearly 300 fewer minutes, and he's third in the league among forwards in chances created. He also has the best anytime goal-scoring odds on the slate, as he'll look to get back on track following a four-match suspension.

Jamie Vardy, LEI v. SUN ($9,100): Vardy's fantasy upside is pretty dependent on his ability to get on the scoresheet, but he's been doing it consistently of late, scoring four goals and assisting two others in his last four games. He has the second-best goal-scoring odds on the slate as he'll face off against a Sunderland defense that has been downright awful this season.

Stefano Okaka, WAT v. WBA ($6,900): Okaka's playing time has been very inconsistent this season, but he made a great case for himself this past weekend while starting for Troy Deeney, finishing with four chances created, three clearances, two fouls drawn, one tackle and one shot on goal for 23.75 fantasy points. He also scored a goal in his previous start, which came with Deeney in the lineup (he scored too). The matchup against West Brom isn't easy, but he should still get enough opportunities to check some stat boxes.
