Nolan Arenado: Leaves With Broken Finger

Posted on May 23, 2014 at 6:37 PM

Arenado left Friday's game with a left mallet finger fracture, the Rockies' PR Twitter account reports.

It's possible that this injury could sideline Arenado for some time, but it's too early to speculate as to how long he'll be out. He will likely need an MRI Saturday, but owners should plan on being without Arenado for the at least a couple weeks. He suffered the injury on a slide. Josh Rutledge was pulled from his game at Triple-A Colorado Springs, meaning Arenado is likely headed to the DL, and Rutledge will be called up.
