James Harrison: Arthroscopic Surgery Wednesday

Posted on August 15, 2012 at 1:19 PM

Harrison underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Wednesday morning, which "went well," according to a source, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Harrison has been on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list throughout camp due to an irritation behind his kneecap. He may be ready in time for Week 1's showdown with Peyton Manning in Denver, but if not, he should make a return shortly thereafter. He remains a top IDP option as a sackmaster, of which he gathered nine in 11 games last season.
