Nicolas Batum: (Ankle) Probable for Tuesday

Posted on January 27, 2014 at 2:25 PM

Batum's MRI on his right ankle was returned negative Monday, and he's listed as probable for Tuesday's contest against the Grizzlies, The Oregonian reports.

Batum has fared well since suffering an avulsion fracture to his left middle finger on Jan. 4. In 11 outings, he's averaged 10.1 points (on 45.3 percent shooting), 7.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists, one steal, and 0.9 treys in 35.4 minutes. However, he's only attempted 7.8 field goals per game during that stretch, which is well below his norm of 9.7 on the season and indicates that his trigger finger remains less itchy.
