Ben Roethlisberger: Ben Roethlisberger: Six-Game Suspension

Posted on April 21, 2010 at 10:22 AM

Roethlisberger has received a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, the league's official site reports. He also must undergo a comprehensive behavioral evaluation by medical professionals.

The news is straight from league's official site, so this is no longer speculation. Commissioner Roger Goodell said he would review Roethlisberger's progress before the start of the regular season and determine whether to reduce the suspension to four games (or increase it if he does not comply). Either way, the Steelers will have someone besides Roethlisberger (Charlie Batch, Dennis Dixon or Byron Leftwich) behind center for at least the first four games of the 2010 season.
