Tomlinson said that his toe "swelled up a little bit" during Sunday's loss at Denver, but that "it didn't get any worse after the game," the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS
Tomlinson aggravated his sprained toe late in the second quarter of Sunday's game. He ran just four more times and caught only one pass after that. He wasn't in the game much more than those five touches. Tomlinson sounded pretty upbeat after the game saying, "I don't feel any worse than I did last week after the game, which shows it is improving and healing." In all, Tomlinson carried 10 times for 26 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards. He said he was capable of running straight ahead but limited changing direction. Tomlinson said he did not plan to have the toe examined again. This is clearly bad news for Tomlinson owners as this week figures to be a repeat of last, with him missing practice time and then possibly gutting it out on game day with possibly limited results. We will obviously keep a close eye on the star running back.
