Massey makes a return to the Craftsman Truck Series after spending the last three seasons racing in the Xfinity Series. The young driver has been signed to race Reaume Brother's No. 33 Ford F-150 in 2023. This team competed full-time last year with an assortment of different drivers. They'd manage just four Top-20 finishes for the season and fail to get much traction. Massey's 50+ starts of experience over the last four years is hoped to be the catalyst to push this team to better results. However, the reality is this is a small race team that competes at a money and equipment disadvantage. Unfortunately, we only foresee marginal improvement with Massey behind the wheel.
Massey comes over from B.J. McLeod Motorsports last season. He raced a 13-event schedule for that team and nabbed just two Top-20 finishes in those efforts. Massey will take over the No. 91 Chevrolet of DGM Racing this season and start in a majority of the races. The team is believed to be full-time and Massey will be the majority pilot for the campaign. At just 24-years-old and with just 23 starts of Xfinity Series experience, Massey is a work in progress racing for a small race team. He will have limited impact over the 2022 season, but post the occasional Top-20 finish from time-to-time.
Made 10 starts last season with BJ McLeod Motorsports. Could make as many as 12 or more starts with this same race team in 2021. Massey earned five Top-25 finishes in those efforts last season, so he has limited impact in this part-time schedule.
