Wins GTLM Pole at Mid-Ohio

Bourdais has taken GT Le Mans class pole honors for Sunday's Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio, in a highly competitive and frantic qualifying session for IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competitors, sportscar365.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 15 minute qualifying session saw several suitors for the pole. Bourdais overcame the No. 912 Porsche 911 of Laurens Vanthoor in the closing moments to grab the pole at Mid-Ohio. It was Bourdais' first career GT Le Mans class pole. The Ford Chip Ganassi team will be top contenders to win class honors Sunday afternoon.
