Ohno agreed Wednesday with the Dragons on a three-year, $2.9 million contract extension, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

The 32-year-old was viewed by many observers as a candidate to get posted by the Dragons this winter for MLB teams, but Ohno's decision to extend his deal with Chunichi takes a move to North America off the table.
