Struggles in return from injury
O'Neill lost to Jennifer Maia via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 286 on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
Making her return from a torn ACL, O'Neill struggled mightily. She theoretically improved as the fight progressed, but that's a low bar considering how poorly she performed early on. Casey continuously pushed forward in an attempt to control the pace of the bout, but it was Maia who was landing at will. O'Neill managed to gain some momentum in the final few minutes, but she was already so far behind that it was never going to make a difference. The only good news here is that O'Neill appeared to be completely healthy. It's her first professional defeat in her ninth pro bout.

Returning in March
O'Neill (knee) will take on Jennifer Maia at UFC 286 on March 18, the UFC announced on Monday.
ANALYSIS
O'Neill will be making her return to the Octagon after suffering a torn ACL in training last April. The 25-year-old has been impressive when healthy and will look to put her career MMA record at 10-0-0 next month.
