Sergey Morozov

On weight as alternate
October 23, 2020
Morozov weighed in at 139.5 pounds as an alternate for UFC 254 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, reports.
The UFC is taking few chances with this card, as Morozov is set to serve as a backup plan in case anything happens with the proposed catchweight matchup between Casey Kenney and Nathaniel Wood. Both aforementioned fighters hit their marks at exactly 140 pounds, however, so it doesn't appear that Morozov will be needed. Morozov was originalyl supposed to face Umar Nurmagomedov at Saturday's event, but Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw late due to a staph infection.
