Agrees to June 13 clash
LightweightUFC
May 23, 2020
Jourdain has a verbal agreement in place to fight Andre Fili in a featherweight matchup at a UFC event on June 13, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jourdain emerged victorious against Dooho Choi last December in his most recent bout; the first UFC win of his career. He typically aims to stay upright and throw a high volume of punches, evidenced by his lack of a takedown through two UFC bouts and seven KO/TKOs out of 10 career professional victories. He sports a significant disadvantage in terms of height (two inches) and reach (five inches), however, so he will have to toy with getting in close while avoiding takedown attempts from Fili. Oddsmakers are pegging Jourdain as a (+165) betting underdog shortly after the announcement of this bout.

Comes through as big underdog
LightweightUFC
December 22, 2019
Jourdain defeated Doo Ho Choi via TKO (punches) at 4:32 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN+ 23 on Saturday in Busan, South Korea.
ANALYSIS
Jourdain may have lost a decision in his May debut, but the 24-year-old Canadian prospect bounced back in a major way in enemy territory. It wasn't smooth sailing from the beginning, however, as he ate a big counter left hand in the first round that was followed with a body kick and had him hurt. Jourdain managed to survive into the second frame, where momentum started to turn in his favor around the midway point. A series of punches culminated in a big left hand that sent Choi to the canvas and it was all over from there. Jourdain finished the second round with a 36 to 13 advantage in significant strikes, bringing his total up to 64 on the fight. It was a solid fantasy day for a fighter that was as high as a (+340) underdog in some books, so Jourdain should see a little more respect from bettors his next time out. To add to his successful evening, he and Choi will both take home a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus following the back-and-forth affair.

Comes up short in UFC debut
LightweightUFC
May 18, 2019
Jourdain lost to Desmond Green via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Rochester, New York.
ANALYSIS
Considering he had less than a month to train for the fight and wasn't competing in his natural weight class, Jourdain showed reasonably well. He definitely dropped the first two rounds before looking better in the third and final frame. Jourdain displayed a bunch of power on the regional circuit, but it remains to be seen if he can compete against better competition. Given his willingness to accept this fight on short notice, Jourdain will definitely get another shot with the company. That would presumably be back at 145 pounds, where the 23-year-old prospect has a significantly higher ceiling.
To make debut in Rochester
LightweightUFC
April 25, 2019
Jourdain will make his UFC debut against Desmond Green in a lightweight matchup at UFC Rochester on May 18.
ANALYSIS
Jourdain is a 23-year-old Canadian prospect that is 9-1 as a professional, racking up the majority of his cage time under the banner of TKO MMA. All nine of the 5-9 lightweight's victories have been earned by way of stoppage, including three submissions. He'll get a big step up with the more experienced Green, who is 3-3 in the UFC, most recently picking up a first-round TKO victory over the now-retired Ross Pearson.
