Takes nine seconds to KO opponent
HeavyweightUFC
June 22, 2019
Rozenstruik defeated Allen Crowder via KO (punches) at 0:09 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 154 in Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Rozenstruik barely had to get off the bus for this one, as a straight right counter found his opponent's chin immediately before big shots on the ground closed the show. As impressive as the win is for Rozenstruik, he still has problems with wrestling and BJJ defense, which were exposed in his last fight against Junior Albini. It must be noted, of course, that he won that fight by stoppage as well, but the athletic and powerful kickboxer does have some work to do as he looks to climb into the top-15 of this division. He improves to a spotless 8-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory, and will take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts.
Draws Allen Crowder in Greenville
HeavyweightUFC
May 1, 2019
Rozenstruik will take on Allen Crowder in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Greenville on June 22, Jose Youngs of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rozenstruik finished Junior Albini via strikes early in the second round in his UFC debut, but managed just 19 significant strikes in the bout, and was taken down twice. He'll now look to Crowder, a fighter of a similar experience level that stacks up roughly equivalent in measurements. Expect the two to throw hands early in this preliminary bout that is likely to end in a stoppage.
Impressive in UFC debut with TKO
HeavyweightUFC
February 2, 2019
Rozenstruik defeated Junior Albini via TKO (punches) at 0:54 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ on Saturday in Brazil.
ANALYSIS
This was Rozenstruik's debut in the UFC. He is a former professional kickboxer and Albini came in with the strategy to take him down as much as possible. Rozenstruik did not show good takedown defense and he was continually taken down in the first round and almost submitted with a kimura. Even when the fight was standing it seemed as if Albini was getting the better of the UFC newcomer. However, "Bigi Boy" only needed a small opening when the second round started. He landed a huge right and followed it up with a head kick. Once Albini went down Rozenstruik rained down punches and the referee stopped the fight.
Set for UFC debut
HeavyweightUFC
January 24, 2019
Rozenstruik will take on Junior Albini in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Fortaleza on Feb. 2, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rozenstruik was added to this card in early-January after it was reported that one of the originally scheduled fighters, Dmitriy Sosnovskiy, was removed from the card for undisclosed reasons. Happy to get the opportunity, the 5-0 Rozenstruck will step into the octagon looking to hand Albini his third straight loss. Oddsmakers currently peg this one as a pick'em, which is understandable given Rozenstruik's limited sample size of fights.
