Frevola is looking to bounce back from a loss to Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 295 in November that snapped a three-fight winning streak. He now boasts a 5-4-1 record with the company. He will look to get back on track against Johnson, who just defeated Darrius Flowers at UFC Fight Night earlier in the month and holds a 14-15 record with the company.

Frevola lost to Benoit Saint-Denis via KO (head kick) at 1:31 of Round 1 at UFC 295 on Saturday in New York City.

Frevola entered having won three in a row, all via knockout, but one head kick from Saint-Denis was all it took to quickly end that streak. You can't even blame Matt for what happened. After some back-and-forth exchanges on the mat, Frevola got to his feet and was actually moving away from Saint-Denis at the time, but he got caught flush. Frevola's roster spot is more than secure given his recent strong run, but at age 33, his margin for error moving forward isn't all that great. This was a big fight for him that clearly didn't go his way.

Frevola is a good wrestler with excellent cardio, so he would appear to have real potential if this newly found increase in power is legitimate. Frevola agreed to face Drew Dober in a lightweight bout at UFC 288 on May 6, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
