The SteamRolla

Added to Lincoln card
February 13, 2020
Frevola will fight Roosevelt Roberts at UFC Lincoln on April 25, Nolan King of reports.
Frevola is coming off back-to-back wins via split decision, and he'll now look to extend that streak against Roberts. The 5-foot-9 Frevola is at a clear disadvantage in terms of height compared to the 6-foot-1 Roberts, but he does boast impressive durability and a solid all-around skillset.

Moves above .500 in UFC career

Frevola defeated Luis Pena via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Tampa.
Frevola has now won his last two bouts -- both via decision -- and he did so as an underdog in both fights. He entered at +125 on Saturday, and did just enough to secure the win. Frevola mixes a strong wrestling base -- he landed 4-of-7 takedowns against Pena -- with plenty of grit and toughness. He's generally durable, displays decent cardio, and is reasonably effective on the mat. It's rarely pretty with Frevola and his ceiling is very limited, but the Long Island native and product of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series is now 2-1-1 in his first four UFC bouts dating back to January 2018.
Will fight at UFC Tampa
August 27, 2019
Frevola (7-1-1) is scheduled to face Luis Pena (7-1-1) in a lightweight fight Oct. 12 at UFC Tampa, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
Frevola will return to the Octagon after securing his first UFC victory back in April, when he defeated Jalin Turner via unanimous decision at UFC 236. He'll be taking on another fighter who carries some momentum in the matchup in Pena, who has won his last two fights and sports a 3-1 record since joining the promotion.
Uses grappling to secure first UFC win
April 13, 2019
Frevola defeated Jalin Turner via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 236 on Saturday in Atlanta.
On the strength of his wrestling and his cardio, Frevola was able to take out the much bigger Turner. Although he was credited with just four successful takedowns on 13 attempts, Frevola's constant pressure kept Turner off balance. As one would expect, Frevola had major issues whenever the two got into striking exchanges in the center of the Octagon, but Frevola and his team deserve credit for coming up with a game plan that limited those opportunities for Turner. A Serra-Longo product, add Frevola to the list of ever growing UFC competitors from Long Island.
Taking on Jalin Turner at UFC 236

Frevola (6-1-1) will take on Jalin Turner (8-4-0) in a lightweight bout April 13 in Atlanta at UFC 236, Alexander K. Lee of reports.
"The Steamrolla" was handed a majority draw in his last fight in November versus Lando Vannata at UFC 230. He'll look to pick up his first UFC win in April against Turner, who is coming off a dominant TKO win over Callan Potter in February at UFC 234 in Melbourne.
Still looking for first UFC win after draw at UFC 230
November 3, 2018
Frevola and Lando Vannata fought to a majority draw (29-28, 28-28, 28-28) at UFC 230 on Saturday in New York City.
It's pretty rare for a draw to be the correct decision, but this is one of those cases. Frevola and Vannata beat the tar out of each other and the next-level toughness of both men is the only reason this fight saw the final bell. Frevola started quickly before Vannata turned the tables on him in Round 2. Round 3 could have gone to either man. Another product of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, Frevola is still in search of his first official UFC win.
