This week's set of pickups includes John Klingberg, who's stepped into an important role after his move to Minnesota.
There's just one game on the docket Monday between Ottawa and Vancouver, which Jason Chen previews here for DraftKings.
Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might be recalled soon
Wolanin, who is currently with AHL Abbotsford, will return from an undisclosed injury this weekend and could be called up by Vancouver soon, coach Rick Tocchet told Jeff Paterson of The Hockey News on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Wolanin hasn't played for Vancouver yet in 2023-24, but the 28-year-old does have six goals and 23 points in 86 career NHL games. With Abbotsford this season, he's contributed two goals and 14 points in 13 contests. If the Canucks call him up, it would likely be to serve as a bottom-pairing defender.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2018
Wolanin will be in the mix for a spot on the Opening Night roster in 2020-21, but that's not due to his scoring -- he had no points in three games with the Senators last year and just one goal in nine outings with AHL Belleville. A shoulder injury cost the 25-year-old nearly six months of action, so he'll be looking to make up for lost time. Wolanin's primary competition for playing time will be Braydon Coburn, who was acquired via a trade with the Lightning. That duo could end up splitting time this season, although it seems more likely that Wolanin will get the short end of the timeshare. Fantasy managers can safely overlook the Quebec native, as a sudden surge of offense is unlikely.
