DiPietro has spent most of the last three years with AHL Abbotsford and has just three NHL appearances since the start of the 2018-19 campaign. Thatcher Demko appears to be locked in as Vancouver's franchise goaltender and the team signed Collin Delia to serve as his backup for the 2022-23 campaign. DiPietro could make a cheap backup option for some teams, but there's not a path to immediate NHL playing time for him right now. Last season, the 23-year-old posted a .901 save percentage and a 2.95 GAA through 34 AHL games.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
DiPietro had a 21-11-2 record, a 2.79 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 36 games with AHL Utica last year. He earned a role as the Canucks' third goalie during the NHL's return to play, but he didn't appear in the playoff bubble. A third-round pick from 2017, DiPietro isn't likely to get any playing time in the NHL this year -- Braden Holtby and Thatcher Demko should be able to hold down the fort in goal. It's expected DiPietro will continue his development in the minors, but there's a chance he ends up as the taxi squad goalie, which would keep him around with the parent club.
