Sasha Yodashkin’s Wednesday DraftKings plays include Carolina netminder Freddy Andersen in Game 1 against New Jersey.
Latest Fantasy Rumors
Questionable for Thursday
Siegenthaler, who sustained an upper-body injury Monday, might not be available for Thursday's game against Dallas, per Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.
ANALYSIS
New Jersey recalled Santeri Hatakka from AHL Utica on Wednesday, so the Devils seem to at least be preparing for the possibility that Siegenthaler will miss the contest. The 26-year-old Siegenthaler has a goal, nine points, 69 hits and 79 blocks in 49 appearances this year. Should Hatakka draw into the lineup, it would be his eighth NHL contest of the campaign. He recorded two assists, nine hits and 11 blocks over his previous seven games.

With No. 1 defender Dougie Hamilton injured for much of his debut season with the Devils in 2021-22, Siegenthaler stepped up in a major way. His offensive production -- one goal, 14 points in 70 games -- was minimal, but Siegethaler was one of the few Devils that exceeded expectations. The club was so impressed with his performance that it inked the 25-year-old to a new five-year, $17 million contract this summer. It's a deal which should ensure that Siegenthaler retains a top-four role with the team for years to come, although he can be ignored in most fantasy formats.
