2018 Fantasy Outlook
In 2017-18, Di Giuseppe once again spent most of the season splitting time between the AHL and NHL. He played in just 49 games for the Hurricanes, registering five goals (including one game-winner) and eight assists. In June, the Canes re-signed him to a one-year, one-way $750,000 contract, which means you should see Di Giuseppe spend a full season at the top level in 2018-19. He is still likely to be situated in a bottom-six role, however, so don't expect a huge offensive surge. A 20-point season is well within his reach. Read Past Outlooks

Di Giuseppe has a pair of assists in six games with the AHL Milwaukee Admirals after being placed on waivers in January.
ANALYSIS
The Predators' forward ranks are relatively healthy at the moment, leaving little room for a fourth-liner like Di Giuseppe to fit in. He will likely play out the remainder of the season with the Admirals, unless the big club runs into injury trouble. The 25-year-old Toronto native has just four points in a combined 24 games with the Preds and Hurricanes this season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2016
Di Giuseppe, who re-signed with the Hurricanes on a one-year, two-way contract in July, spent most of last season shuttling between the NHL and AHL. He was pretty effective in the minors with 28 points in 40 games for AHL Charlotte, but played only a part-time, checking-line role with Carolina, notching just seven points in 36 games. The 23-year-old winger will likely once again split time between the Canes and Checkers in 2017-18, keeping him from being a viable option in season-long fantasy leagues
Di Giuseppe enjoyed a solid rookie season in 2015-16, scoring seven goals and 10 assists in 41 games. He was originally used in a checking-line capacity when he was first called up in December, but it wasn't long before Di Giuseppe crept his way onto a scoring line with Victor Rask and Jeff Skinner, skating as much as 16-to-18 minutes per night in March before an injury cut his season short. A healthy Di Giuseppe is expected to compete for a similar role on the Canes' roster when training camps open in September. In deeper fantasy formats, his 40-point upside makes him a solid late-round value.
