2018 Fantasy Outlook
The 27-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Bruins in July after recording a career-high seven goals and 16 points in 79 games between the Ducks and Islanders last season. With any luck, moving from the worst defensive team to a contender could result in a complete reversal of his minus-10 rating. He doesn't supply as many penalty minutes as most fantasy owners would like from a fourth-liner (37 last season), but his 253 hits were the third-most in the league last season. His physicality attracted the Bruins and it should appeal to select virtual-league owners as well. Read Past Outlooks

Wagner (lower body) will return to the lineup for Thursday's Game 1 against Toronto, NHL.com's Eric Russo reports.
ANALYSIS
Wagner missed the final two games of the regular season due to a lower-body injury, but he was always expected to be ready for Game 1 of Boston's first-round series. The 27-year-old American is expected to slot into a bottom-six role Thursday, skating with Noel Acciari and Joakim Nordstrom on the Bruins' fourth line.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
Wagner was down in the minors with AHL San Diego for 30 games last season, which doesn't bode well for his career trajectory and chances to make a fantasy impact in 2017-18. A depth option down the middle, the 26-year-old has managed only 13 points in 95 career contests at hockey's highest level.
