Yahoo DFS Hockey: Monday Picks

Yahoo DFS Hockey: Monday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Hockey series.

Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals is Monday, and Yahoo has a single-game contest where you're not position-restricted and can select five players while staying under a $115 salary cap. The Canadiens will need to cash in on their home-ice advantage as short home underdogs to avoid elimination.

All statistics from Natural Stat Trick and Hockey Reference.

Picks

Andrei Vasilevskiy, TB at MON ($38): With three consecutive shutouts in elimination games this postseason, Vasilevskiy should be priority No. 1 Monday. The Canadiens could start a comeback Monday, but the Russian netminder has a high floor and boasts a .938 save percentage and 1.94 GAA through 21 playoff starts.

Carey Price, MON at TB ($29): With an .835 save percentage and 4.39 GAA through three starts in the series, look for a rebound showing from Price. His salary doesn't limit your lineup options, either. Plus, before his poor Game 3 showing, Price posted a .935 save percentage and 1.94 GAA through his previous eight home starts during the playoffs.

Nick Suzuki, MON vs. TB ($21): The 21-year-old center has scored in consecutive games and has also recorded 11 shots, 13 attempts and five individual scoring chances. Even if there is a little negative statistical regression, Suzuki can still move the fantasy needle Monday.

Cole Caufield, MON vs. TB ($14): This salary is a little short. Caufield hasn't made a major impact through the first two games of the series with just  a single assist and five shots, but he's still had 14 attempts and has posted a respectable eight points -- four goals -- through the past 11 contests.

Mikhail Sergachev, TB at MON ($13): Without a point through the first three games of the series and just a single assist through his past 15 outings, Sergachev is in a slump. He's registered seven shot attempts and two individual high-danger scoring chances against Montreal already, though, so it wouldn't be surprising for him to find the scoresheet Monday.

Jeff Petry, MON vs. TB ($12): Another Canadien with a salary far too low, Petry finished the regular season with a sixth-ranked 2.02 points per 60 minutes, and he also contributes in the shots and blocks columns. He also chipped in an assist in Game 3. However, just note, Petry is minus-6 through the first three games of the series, which does hurt his upside.

Pans

Brayden Point, TB at MON ($24): After scoring in nine straight games with a 37.5 shooting percentage, Point hasn't found the back of the net through the past four games and has been held off the scoresheet entirely three times. While he's definitely a candidate to have a solid showing Monday, he only has nine shot attempts through the first three games of the series against Montreal.

Erik Cernak, TB at MON ($17): With a climbing salary, Cernak is probably safe to fade Monday. He doesn't receive power-play time and has only posted double-digit fantasy points in three of his 19 playoff appearances.
