SLATE PREVIEW
Only Saturday's all-day contest will feature all 10 games, otherwise it's two for the early-only offering and the remaining eight for the main contest. All salaries reflected are based on the all-day contest.
The action begins at 2 p.m. EDT with the Panthers visiting the Stars and the Bruins visiting the Flyers. The Stars are looking to stay in the playoff race while the Bruins will get another chance to see if Jeremy Swayman is the answer in net.
Jack Campbell will go for his 11th straight win against the Senators (7 p.m.) and the Wild are looking to avenge an embarrassing 9-1 loss against the Blues (8 p.m.), who are still chasing the Coyotes for the final playoff spot in the West.
GOALIES
Jack Campbell, TOR vs. OTT ($8,700): Consider the Sens have won three of their meetings this season and nearly beat Campbell last time. However, Campbell remains 2-0 with a .920 Sv% against them. And even without William Nylander, the Leafs are in a groove with all the new pieces – Alex Galchenyuk included – fitting in nicely. The Sens have also allowed 21 goals over their last six games.
Petr Mrazek, CAR vs. DET ($8,600): The Reimer-Nedeljkovic partnership was solid enough that the Canes didn't have to rush Mrazek and he's looked very good since returning by earning two straight wins with only two goals allowed on 64 shots. Of note, the Red Wings are not expected to have Sam Gagner, Bobby Ryan, Tyler Bertuzzi or top goal scorer Robby Fabbri in the lineup.
Cam Talbot, MIN at STL ($8,300): Surely, the Wild will come out with a better effort? They hung Kaapo Kahkonen out to dry on Friday, although it was another matchup where the Blues looked much better than they did last month. Talbot made 37 saves while shutting out the Blues in his only appearance against them this season.
Jeremy Swayman, BOS at PHI ($7,800): Not only is Swayman playing well, he also represents a solid value play against the Flyers, who have lost four of their past five and have only beaten the Bruins once this year. Matinee games are difficult to predict, but at least the Bruins' offense seems to be back on track and potentially provide Swayman with enough goal support.
Connor Hellebuyck, WPG at MON ($7,500): I like this value play for Hellebuyck, who faces a Montreal offense that is very balanced, but has no finish. The Habs will also have to make sure they're getting good goaltending as they've allowed 15 goals across their past four.
Malcolm Subban, CHI at CBJ ($7,300): Either Subban or Kevin Lankinen will be recommended here. The Jackets' scoring woes continue while the Hawks - who haven't fared well of late - have lost just twice to their opponents this season, who are also reeling from the absences of Boone Jenner and Zach Werenski.
VALUE PLAYS
Andrew Copp, WPG at MON ($4,100): It's Copp who's moved into the top six in Blake Wheeler's absence, with the versatile Jets' winger taking off with four points over his past three games. The Habs may be even-strength beasts, but they have not played well recently and have dropped five of their seven meetings against the Jets.
Andrew Mangiapane, CGY vs. EDM ($3,800): Mangiapane's been one of the few bright spots for the Flames this season with three goals in his past five outings. He's slated to skate on the second line with Sean Monahan and Dillon Dube.
Kirby Dach, CHI at CBJ ($3,700): Dach's skating on the top line between Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat while the Jackets should be easier to play against without Riley Nash and Zach Werenski.
Corey Perry, MON vs. WPG ($3,400): The Habs spread out their ice time, but none of their wingers have the muck-it-up skillset that Perry offers. He played 20 minutes against the Jets last time out and lines up with the Habs' top playmaking center (Nick Suzuki) and best power forward (Josh Anderson) while also seeing time on PP2.
LINE STACKS
Bruins at Flyers
Patrice Bergeron (C - $7,700), Brad Marchand (W - $8,100), Craig Smith (W - $4,600)
There's plenty of extra value when Smith is scoring, but Bergeron and Marchand continue to drive this line and they've been excellent against the Flyers all season with a combined 25 (!) points. David Pastrnak was on this unit when they were dominating, but Smith has also fared well with six points in seven games against Philly.
Hurricanes vs. Red Wings
Vincent Trocheck (C - $6,300), Nino Niederreiter (W - $4,400), Martin Necas (W - $5,000)
El Nino leads all Canes' forwards with four goals against the Wings while Necas has chipped in with four points and Trocheck has provided three in three. Detroit's already thin down the middle, which opens up a lot of favorable matchups for Carolina's centers.
Maple Leafs vs. Senators
Auston Matthews (C - $8,800), Mitch Marner (W - $7,600), Alex Galchenyuk (W - $3,700)
Galchenyuk's a pretty solid value play on his own and has been playing well even though he hasn't often found the scoresheet too often. He gets a plum assignment on the top line with Matthews and Marner combining for 22 points against the Sens this season.
Oilers at Flames
Connor McDavid (C - $9,000), Leon Draisaitl (W - $8,400), Jesse Puljujarvi (W - $3,700)
For all this talk about the Flames being better defensively, they sure haven't done so under Darryl Sutter. They've had no answer to McDraisaitl so far, who are once again burning the Flames with 25 points in seven games. Puljujarvi has also scored four of his nine goals on the season against Calgary.
DEFENSEMEN
Dougie Hamilton, CAR vs. DET ($6,400): I don't expect Hamilton to play a lot of minutes because it's unlikely the Wings stand a chance, but it's too easy of a matchup to pass up. There's plenty of teams in action, but not many top-tier defenders from which to choose.
Tyson Barrie, EDM at CGY ($6,300): All Barrie has to do is pass the puck to either 97 or 29. That's it. The Flames' PK ranks 26th in April at just 70 percent and it would be very surprising if there weren't at least a few penalties considering it's the Battle of Alberta.
Brent Burns, SJ vs. LA ($5,800): Something about the Kings just brings out the best in Burns, who finished Friday's game with three helpers to give him seven points in seven games against them this campaign. The Sharks are charging up the West standings, winning five of their past six and only losing once against the Kings in seven matchups this season while scoring 23 goals.
