DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Sergei Bobrovsky, CLS vs. BOS ($7,900): Both home team goalies are favoured tonight, but Bob is $100 cheaper than Philipp Grubauer and I think the Jackets are the better team. He's been very good so far this series and absolutely has been a difference maker with two one-goal games. This will be his first real test on home ice after beating the Lightning by a combined 10-4 score, but it looks Bob has shaken off his playoff ghosts, ranking third in save percentage and second in GAA.

CENTER

Nathan MacKinnon, COL vs. SJ ($7,100): MacKinnon's three-point outburst against the Flames in Game 3 tilted the series, and he has a similar chance here with the Avs playing host. Even with Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Brent Burns hard matched against MacKinnon, he still scored two points on seven shots in Game 2. He has a ton of upside and he's definitely worth the premium.

Matt Duchene, CLS vs. BOS ($5,500): He was quiet in Game 1 but very good in Game 2, putting three shots on goal and scoring the double-overtime winner on the power play. He has three power-play points, and in a very physical series with some broken sticks and bad blood, having the no. 1 ranked power play (38.9%) is a good thing to have on your side.

WING

Artemi Panarin, CLS vs. BOS ($6,100): Panarin's a steal at this price, having scored four points already in this series and no less elite than Mikko Rantanen or Brad Marchand. The Blue Jackets will be leaning on Panarin heavily once again even after playing 32 minutes in Game 2. There's just no one else on the team that provides offense out of nothing like he does.

Lukas Radil, SJ at COL ($2,800): This is a value pick because Radil's offensive ceiling isn't very high, but he's getting the prime opportunities skating on the second line. He played 13 minutes in Game 2 but registered zero shots on goal, so it's very possible he gets replaced, but until then he has some value playing with Tomas Hertl and Evander Kane. If Radil is replaced, look for Joonas Donskoi ($3,100), who will be returning from injury very soon.

Alexander Wennberg, CLS vs. BOS ($2,600): We're buying low on Wennberg, who had a much better showing in Game 2 with three blocked shots in 16 minutes of ice time, playing a key role on the penalty kill. The skilled playmaker can still make a difference on offense, having scored 59 points just two seasons ago. That starts by getting quality ice time, which he's starting to do. John Tortorella has juggled his lines, so hopefully Wennberg gets some shifts with Panarin.

DEFENSE

Tyson Barrie, COL vs. SJ ($5,700): It looks like Jared Bednar may cut Cale Makar's minutes back a little bit, which means the onus is once again on Barrie to provide offense from the blue line. He scored three points last game and played over 22 minutes, but on home ice with last change he might get more minutes and better matchups.

Seth Jones, CLS vs. BOS ($5,500): He's got such a high floor and he's scored more than 5.5 fantasy points in each of his past three games. He had another monster performance in Game 2, notching two assists for the third straight game and added five hits, three blocked shots and two shots on goal in 38 minutes of ice time. He's a true elite workhorse defenseman who can contribute in multiple categories.
