DraftKings NHL: Monday Playoff Picks

DraftKings NHL: Monday Playoff Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

There's a pair of pivotal Game 6s happening Monday, with both Carolina and Nashville facing elimination. Here are some suggestions when building your lineup...

GOALIE

Ben Bishop, DAL vs. NAS ($7,900): Bishop earned a Vezina nomination with an 1.98 GAA and .934 save percentage. He's been just as good in the playoffs, as he has a 2.18 GAA and .935 save percentage against the Predators. At home, against the league's most-paltry power play, I like the former Lightning netminder.

CENTER

Sebastian Aho, CAR vs. WAS ($6,000): With their backs against the wall, the Hurricanes will likely rely on their best offensive player. Aho notched 30 goals and 83 points during the regular season, and he's stayed active in the playoffs. The Finn has tallied three goals and 15 shots on net through five games. Also, the Capitals did have a 3.34 GAA on the road this year.

Roope Hintz, DAL vs. NAS ($4,200): Hintz showed some potential down the stretch once the Stars starting giving him more playing time. He also has three points in his last two games, including one on the power play. Pekka Rinne has had another impressive season, but he has allowed nine goals over his last two starts.

WING

Mats Zuccarello, DAL vs. NAS ($4,800): Zuccarello joined the Stars at the trade deadline and then immediately got hurt. Since getting healthy, he has three goals and an assist in six games. On the season, he had 40 points in only 48 games, and he's been getting a ton of power-play time with Dallas as well.

Jakub Vrana, WAS at CAR ($3,800): Vrana notched 24 goals and 23 assists this season. His play has helped him earn a spot on Washington's second line with Evgeny Kuznetsov, as well as some power-play time. Petr Mrazek has been decidedly better at home than on the road in this series, but that sample size is small. With only two games on the slate, sometimes you can't be too picky.

Carl Hagelin, WAS at CAR ($3,100): Hagelin has started 54.4 percent of his shifts since joining the Capitals, fourth most among Washington forwards. Additionally, with T.J. Oshie out, the speedy winger has been moved up to the second line. That helps Hagelin's fantasy potential, and could make him a nice flyer.

DEFENSE

Dougie Hamilton, CAR vs. WAS ($,500): Hamilton was on a six-game point streak until it ended two games ago. However, he's put 16 shots on net in this series, which is impressive for a defenseman. The Capitals had a 3.34 GAA in away games, so if Hamilton can stay that involved, it could pay off.

Jaccob Slavin, CAR vs. WAS ($4,500): Slavin has picked up his offense in this series, as he has five points in five contests. However, he's also added quite a bit of fantasy value on the defensive end. The 24-year-old has blocked 18 shots, including 11 over his last two outings. By contributing on both ends of the ice, Slavin has given his fantasy value a boost.
