DraftKings NHL: Saturday Picks

The NHL wants you to have an alternative to college basketball. It's still Hockey Night in Canada, after all. There are 10 NHL games on the docket for Saturday night. Here are my recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.

GOALIE

Jonathan Quick, LOS vs. ANA ($7,600): Yes, it hasn't been a good year for Quick. However, he has been better at home, even if that only means a 2.90 GAA and .904 save percentage. This is all about the matchup. The Ducks have only averaged 2.03 goals and 26.7 shots on net per contest in away games. On top of that, they are on the second night of a back-to-back.

CENTER

David Krejci, BOS at FLA ($5,300): Krejci has been killing it this season as Boston's second-line center, as he has 19 goals and 64 points in 74 games. The Czech pivot has been hot recently to boot, as he has 17 points in his last 16 outings. On the other hand, the Panthers have a 3.27 GAA and .893 save percentage as a team.

Nazem Kadri, TOR vs. NYR ($4,600): Kadri has four points in seven games since returning from an injury. Only one of them has come with the extra man, but he's averaged 2:23 per game on the power play in that time. That bodes well here, as the Rangers have the 26th-ranked penalty kill.

WING

Brendan Gallagher, MON vs. BUF ($6,100): Gallagher has 31 goals for the second season in a row, but he's not done yet. He's also put a whopping 270 shots on net, and has only been held to fewer than three shots in one of his last 20 games. Meanwhile, since the All-Star break the Sabres have a 3.73 GAA. That's the highest in the NHL.

Alex Tuch, VGK vs. DET ($5,300): You know which other team has really struggled since the break? That would be the Wings, who have a 3.57 GAA in that time. This should certainly entice Tuch, who is sitting on the precipice of a 50-point season with 19 goals and 30 assists in 66 games.

Andrei Svechnikov, CAR vs. MIN ($4,100): Svechnikov, the second overall pick last summer, has shown that he is one of those teenagers that can hack it in the NHL from the get go. The Russian has 18 goals on 168 shots in his debut campaign, and he has five points in his last five contests. As for the Wild, they are on the second night of a back-to-back, which could mean Alex Stalock in net. He has a 3.05 GAA and .893 save percentage this season.

DEFENSE

Drew Doughty, LOS vs. ANA ($5,000): Doughty has been dishing out the assists this season, as he has eight helpers in his last 10 games. He's also been a real weapon on the power play, as per usual, as he has 22 points with the extra man. The Ducks have the 22nd-ranked penalty kill overall, but they are also on the road for the second leg of a back-to-back in this matchup.

Jake Muzzin, TOR vs. NYR ($5,300): How's Doughty's old teammate doing? Well since being traded from the Kings to the Leafs, Muzzin has tallied 15 points in 25 games. He's also put 49 shots on net and blocked 34 shots for good measure. Meanwhile, the Rangers have a 3.89 GAA on the road, third highest in the NHL.
