College basketball teams will be trying to make their way into the Sweet 16 on Saturday, but there are also a sweet 10 NHL games on the slate for that evening. There are also four games in the afternoon, if you want to play a full slate, but I will be focusing on those 10 evening matchups with my recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.
GOALIE
Petr Mrazek, CAR vs. MIN ($8,000): Mrazek has looked like a whole new goalie recently. Over his last 10 games, he has posted a 1.70 GAA and .943 save percentage. If that's not enough, the Wild have only scored 2.69 goals per game, and they are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back.
CENTER
Max Domi, MON vs. BUF ($6,400): Domi has crushed all his previous personal bests with 25 goals and 64 points this season. It's not like he's cooled down either, with 15 points over his last 16 contests. As for the Sabres, they've compiled a NHL-worst 3.74 GAA since the All-Star break.
Ryan Johansen, NAS at WPG ($5,800): Johansen didn't register a point in his last game, but that ended a five-game scoring streak. He's notched 60 points in 73 games, even though his 8.7 shooting percentage sits below his career average. The Jets have struggled to a 3.26 GAA and have allowed 34.6 shots on net per game since the All-Star break, so perhaps Johansen will start a new point streak in this one.
WING
Reilly Smith, VGK vs. DET ($6,400): Smith got off to a slow start to the season, so you may have not kept an eye on him. If that's the case, you might not know he's racked up eight goals and 18 points during his last 13 contests. The Wings, meanwhile, have a 3.59 road GAA and are playing out the stretch while starting young players as they wait for the Draft Lottery.
Zach Hyman, TOR vs. NYR ($4,800): If you know Hyman, you probably know him as the guy who skates on Toronto's top line with John Tavares and Mitch Marner. He doesn't possess the same skill as those two, but the perks of the position have allowed him to pot eight goals in his last 15 games. The road has not been kind to the Rangers this season, as they've recorded a 3.89 GAA in away games.
Alex Iafallo, LOS vs. ANA ($4,700): Speaking of linemates, Iafallo is on Los Angeles' top line with Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown. That's not quite on Hyman's level, but the young forward is in a good place to add to his 14 goals and 16 assists. The Ducks own a 3.19 road GAA, and have given up 33.5 shots on net per game in those contests. And to top it off, they are also on the second night of a back-to-back.
DEFENSE
Dougie Hamilton, CAR vs. MIN ($5,900): Hamilton has been a shot machine this season, putting 229 pucks on net across 73 games. That's helped him notch 14 goals on the year, and he has also notched nine points in his last 11 contests.
Jon Merrill, VGK vs. DET ($3,500): This is a bit of a gamble, but Merrill has started 65.6 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, which is highest on the Golden Knights. He's also got a rather favorable matchup, as the Wings have posted a 3.57 GAA since the All-Star break. While Merrill hasn't lit up the scoreboard, I find him intriguing as a low-price flyer at this price and against this team.
