FanDuel NHL: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We've got seven NHL games on the slate, the first one starting at 3:00 PM ET. Since you might be otherwise occupied later in the day, you were probably already planning to get your daily fantasy lineup in early, right? Here are my recommendations.

GOALIE

Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK vs. EDM ($9,100): Fleury has been scorching recently, with a 1.49 GAA and .950 save percentage over his last eight games. Plus, on the season, he's looked much better at home. The Oilers have only scored 2.79 goals per contest, and they are also on the road for the second game of a back-to-back.

CENTER

Ryan O'Reilly, STL at BUF ($6,800): O'Reilly will be looking for vengeance against his old team, and that wouldn't be surprising with the way he's been playing. He's racked up 26 goals and 68 points in 71 games, the latter of which is a personal best. The Sabres are on the second leg of a back-to-back, and they've been struggling recently regardless of the circumstance - as their 3.75 GAA since the All-Star break will show.

Paul Stastny, VGK vs. EDM ($5,400): Stastny has registered a point in each of his last three games, and 10 points in his last nine contests. The addition of Mark Stone to his wing has certainly helped him as well. The Oilers, who come in with a 3.29 road GAA, will also be on the second day of a back-to-back.

WING

Rickard Rakell, ANA vs. FLA ($6,100): It's been a rough season for Rakell, but recently things have finally improved. He's notched a point in six of his last eight games, even if his shooting percentage on the season remains an improbable 6.7. Maybe he'll have more luck against the Panthers, who sport a 3.74 road GAA and are on the second day of a back-to-back.

Frank Vatrano, FLA at ANA ($4,700): Vatrano was going through a bit of a rough patch, but he has a goal in two of his last three games. He's also been staying active offensively, with 26 shots on net over his last eight contests. The Ducks have given up 33.4 shots on goal per game, so Vatrano should be able to contribute effectively.

J.T. Compher, COL vs. NJD ($4,700): The Avalanche have shaken their lines up recently, and Compher is now on Colorado's top line. The 23-year-old has enjoyed a solid season with 15 goals and 16 assists. Now he takes on a Devils team that has struggled with a 3.95 GAA in away games, ranking them second-highest in the NHL.

DEFENSE

Keith Yandle, FLA at ANA ($5,700): Yandle's power-play performance this year has been amazing. He's averaged 3:39 per game with the extra man, and tallied a whopping 36 power-play points. The Ducks own the 24th-ranked penalty kill, but have dropped down to 28th since the All-Star break.

Colin Miller, VGK vs. EDM ($4,000): Miller has started 60.5 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, an above-average number for a defenseman. He's notched 26 points in 56 games, but 11 of those points have come with the extra man. That bodes well here, as the Oilers boast the 30th-ranked penalty kill. On top of that, they are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back.
