FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Saturday is a great day for hockey. Well, everyday is a great day for hockey, but Saturday is usually also a busy day for the NHL. That's certainly the case this week, as there are nine games on the NHL slate Saturday night. Here are my recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.

GOALIE

Devan Dubnyk, MIN vs. NYR ($8,200): Dubnyk's last few starts haven't been great, but he was playing some great hockey before. That's why over his last 10 games he's posted a 2.24 GAA and .924 save percentage. As for the Rangers, they've only managed 29.2 shots on net per contest, and they are also on the road for the second game of a back-to-back. I expect Dubnyk to get back on track here.

CENTER

David Krejci, BOS vs. CLM ($6,100): Krejci has been as hot as anybody in the NHL recently. Over his last 15 games, he's notched 19 points and has recorded a point in five of his last six. The Blue Jackets are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back. Joonas Korpisalo will likely be in net, and he comes in with an .899 save percentage.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi, MON vs. CHI ($4,700): Kotkaniemi has started 63.0 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest on the Canadiens. Though he's only 18, he's managed 32 points in 69 games. This is a favorable matchup for Montreal, as the Blackhawks sport a 3.70 GAA. That's highest in the NHL, and they also own the league's worst penalty kill to boot.

WING

Jason Zucker, MIN vs. NYR ($5,700): Zucker is about the only Wild forward that isn't cold right now. He's notched seven goals in his last 10 games, giving him 21 on the season. As for the Rangers, they have struggled to a 3.82 road GAA. On top of that, they are on the second leg of a back-to-back.

Brady Tkachuk, OTT vs. TOR ($5,100): After the trade deadline, the Senators have given Tkachuk a much larger role. He's on the top line, and also skates on the primary power-play unit. The fourth-overall pick has been up to the task, with 11 points over his last 15 games. Toronto are set to start Garret Sparks in this game, and he's posted a 3.04 GAA.

J.T. Miller, TAM vs. WAS ($4,300): Miller is on Tampa's top line with Steven Stamkos, and he's also been quite successful on the power play. He's notched 16 points with the extra man in 65 contests. The Capitals maintain the 22nd-ranked penalty kill, while also compiling a 3.33 road GAA.

DEFENSE

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, ARI vs. EDM ($5,300): Speaking of power-play prowess, Ekman-Larsson has racked up 17 points with the extra man. He's also tallied a goal in each of his last two games. It won't be a surprise f he keeps the streak going, as the Oilers have the 30th-ranked penalty kill.

Ryan Suter, MIN vs. NYR ($5,300): Suter may be 34, but there's still a spring in his step. He's notched 44 points in 71 games, including 13 with the extra man. As previously noted, the Rangers will be on the road for the second night of a back-to-back and have disappointed with a 3.82 GAA in away games.
