Chesson Hadley
31-Year-Old Golfer
2018–19 Fantasy Outlook
Hadley got off to a nice start on the PGA Tour as a rookie in 2014 as he picked-up a victory in his first season and earned over $1.7 million by season's end. His Sophomore campaign wasn't quite as productive, but he managed to stay within the top-100 on the FedEx points list, but when the pressure was back on, in his third season, while playing for his card again, he fell flat, making under $600k for the season. He worked his way back onto the PGA Tour just two years later and had his best season yet. That season was the 2-17-2018 season where he posted a runner-up and 3rd-place finish and a total of seven top-10s. There's nothing negative to say about his performance last season, but he does have a track record of coming back to Earth after a solid season. With that in mind, he carries too much risk as a salary cap option this season. Read Past Outlooks
Stops MC streak with top-20
February 4, 2019
Hadley finished in a tie for 20th place at the Waste Management Phoenix Open after shooting a one-under 70 on Sunday.
Hadley racked up three eagles this week, and two of them came on par-4's. Still his lone round breaking 70 was a six-under 65 on Friday. For the week, Hadley ranked top-20 SG: Approach and putts per GIR, but could only find 44 percent of the fairways. The 31-year-old scored top-seven finishes in two of his first four starts to the season, but had missed the cut in his last three events prior to Phoenix. Hadley will be in the field for next week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He scored top-10's on the Monterey Peninsula in 2014 and 2015.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
Hadley, who won the PGA Tour's 2014 Puerto Rico Open, racked up $2.8M in earnings through two seasons before losing his card after a 2015-16 campaign in which he finished 159th in the FedExCup standings. He'll be back to full status during the 2017-18 season, however, as two victories in his last six starts on the Tour have secured his card once again. Hadley also appeared in eight PGA Tour events throughout the 2016-17 season, notably placing top-30 in back-to-back starts at the John Deere Classic and Barbasol Championship.
Not a bad start to a PGA Tour career. Just over $1.7 million in earnings, a spot in the top-60 on the money list and a victory at the Puerto Rico Open. That's the good news, the bad news is, he was incredibly erratic last year. That and his win did come against a pretty weak field. With that said, he did finish strong against the best players on the PGA Tour, so there's hope that he can build off his fantastic rookie season. There is the sophomore jinx to consider as well, which isn't exactly a jinx, it's just a bit of reality setting in. Most guys who play well during their rookie season come back to earth, at least a bit during their second season. As such, he's not a great salary cap option this year, but should be given some consideration. In draft leagues he should go in the 6th or 7th round.
Hadley scored three top-3s on Tour last season but still needed The Finals to secure his card for 2013-14.
