Runner-up finish at Trophee Hassan II
April 24, 2018
Quiros held the 54-hole lead at the Trophee Hassan II and shot an even-par 72, but it wasn't enough to hold of Alexander Levy.
ANALYSIS
It's been quite a ride over the last 10 years for the Spaniard. After four straight seasons with a win from 2008-2011, Quiros went winless and fell outside the top-600 in the world before his victory last year at the Rocco Forte Open. Since that win, however, Quiros had missed 16 of his last 19 cuts entering the Trophee Hassan II. He started seven-under through the first two rounds, but could only manage to go even-par over the final 36 holes. He charged on Sunday with birdies on his final two holes, but in the end it was one shot short of catching Levy. The runner-up was still enough to move Quiros up almost 200 spots in the OWGR.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2012
2011
Last year was supposed to be the breakout year for Quiros, but he never quite got going, at least on the PGA TOUR. He played well enough overseas to keep his World Golf Ranking near theTop 50, so he'll again have some opportunities this season. With his talent, he's bound to finish well somewhere along the line.
The long-hitting Spainiard is the most likely breakout candidate among the non-PG Tour members from 2010. Quiros played consistently well on the PGA TOUR last season, but he lacked that one really strong finish. One of these times, he's going to finish strong and boost his earnings number. Still, he'll mostly play in Europe in 2011.
